Are they going to add flying tank mounts?

The three tank achievement mounts are landbound (not to mention the "lion" for PLD one looks hideously mutated). Are they ever going to add new achievement awards to tanks or is it not needed now?

I can see it happening, just need to add a new Tier to the achievement. Think its 200 8-man runs? Make it 400 for the flying version.

You already got a job-specific mount..what more do you want? :/

I hope not? I don't want every mount to fly tbh. Each to their own.

Edit : Although I remember them mentioning they were going to make them fly, but I can't recall where I read that. Same for the Goobbue mount, maybe it was a joke though.

Verminion was originally a joke ... now it's a joke of a minigame.

Anything is possible now with the Tortoise mount somehow flying. Any request for any ground mounts to fly will be fair game (as if it wasn't already) if they make the tank mounts fly.

The mount is incentive for players to play as a tank class in high end content (same as the unicorn is to get players playing CNJ in low level content), having the mount not able to fly lessens its value, so the mounts should either fly (please no) or another flying mount needs to be introduced (perhaps a shared one that needs 600 on any tank class).

SE has the metrics and will do what they can to get players playing a balance of roles.

Edit: To explain what I mean about balance of roles. The tank mounts are there to attempt (not all that successfully) to shorten DPS queue times by encouraging people to play tank. You are welcome DPS.

They want fireworks and offerings every time they join a group.

the DRK mount was the last non-flying mount they ever added to the game. that was with 3.0, while flying and flying mounts were added in the same patch. that tells me it was never planned to make tank mounts fly. but after the turtoise... everything is possible i think xD

The reason that the DRK mount doesn't fly is because it needs to be equal to the other tank mounts, the devs have said that the tank mounts are on their radar, but it really hasn't been said what they are doing about it.
