For those of you on Balmung; I'd like to transfer and do some market research.

As in title; For those of you on Balmung; I'd like to transfer and do some market research. Can't make an alt there due to stuffed queues. I have ~300m gil to turn into items since the transfer cap is 1m cash. I imagine most items will be a lot cheaper than my super low pop server (Famfrit NA), but I'd like to still keep a bit of my gil value.

• What do the rarer minions go for?
• How much are clusters/crystals/shards?
• Astral oil and related scrip goods?
• Pure white/ jet black / metallic dyes?
• How about dravanian motes and dravanian down trees? Microscopic moogle house skins?
• Gardening items?
• Ravana's forewing? Syrcus shards? Kingly whiskers and other primal items?
• Crafting materials related to raid food ?
• Crafting and gathering materia? Savage might and other desirables?

If you could answer any of these, even one or two, it'd be a great help <3

I'm not signed on as I'm at work, but here's what I know based on the items you have listed.

Minions: Nutkin, generally goes for 2-4 million a piece. Hunting Hawk is the most expensive, and generally sells for anywhere from 6-11 million. I wouldn't worry about minions like Fat Cat or Gestahl, because they've dropped to the 300-400k range.

The Moogle i95 crafted weapons still sell well, and are generally priced in the 2-4 million range. The rest of the primal weapons have dropped to a mil or less (some even as low as 300-400k).

Pure White and Jet Black dyes sell for approximately 40-50K per dye. Metallics, roughly 10-14K if they are like the metallic red, purple or sky blue. The others don't sell as well.

The main thing to remember is you are moving from a tiny server to the most populated server in the game. Because of the fact that there are easily 3-4x as many active people, the amount of items for sale is much higher, which generally reduces the prices. I was on Famfrit when I started the game, and moving to Balmung was the best choice I've made yet.

Checking the market board as of this post, I'll give the lowest current prices.


- Your best minions are Lesser Panda (900,000), Wind-up Ifrit (336,900), Nutkin (3,887,000), Wind-up Tonberry (800,000), Hunting Hawk (12,000,000)

All of those have a fairly high sale rate, with Hunting Hawk selling twenty since December 16th. If you undercut the price a little, you could probably sell quite a few.

- Crystals all range between 10-40 per, while clusters are averaging 48-100

- Astral Oil (18,700), Dravanian Mote (60,000), Dravanian Down Tree (198,999)

- Pure white (37,000) and jet black (60,000) dyes are the only ones worthwhile. All others sell below 15,000-- many dipping into the four figure range.

- Savage Might V (1,785,990), Gatherer's Guerdon V (1,499,998; last bought on Nov. 8th), Gatherer's Guile (2,999,999; last bought on Nov. 23rd), Craftsman's Competence V (3,000,000; only two purchased since Oct. 18th), Craftsman's Cunning V (1,750,000; only three purchased since Dec. 9th)

The majority of battle related V materia all range in the 400,000-600,000 mark. Strength/Vitality/etc sell much faster than the above mentioned.

- ilvl170 craft gear sets all sells between 1.5-3M per piece at HQ.
