Suggestion: PS3 Hotbars and Classes

I realized something once I got my controller working on the computer: it functions just like the keyboard.

What I mean is, when you switch classes, then all of your skills automatically change on the hotbar. You get 8 sets of 16 keys all for one class' skills and whatever else you want to put on the hotbar that's related to that class.

What puzzled me was: why isn't it the same for the PS3?

In the PS3 version of the game, I have 8 sets of 16 keys for all of my classes. I have to constantly switch skills and sacrifice some of my own skills to make room for other classes.

So my suggestion is:
Please, have the hotbars on the PS3/PS4 versions work like the ones in the PC versions. Let them change with the class.
I know it's possible. The controller hotbars on the PC are still perfect because I have all the space I'd ever need and more for just one class.
But on PS3, it doesn't work?

Am I missing something or is this just a horrible oversight?

Have you set all your hotbars to shared on the ps3?

Hotbars are the same on all platforms, I suggest comparing your settings on both.

I have both PS4 and PC.

Hotbars change on class swap on both platforms.

I think you changed your settings on the PS to share hotbars or something as I do not experience this issue you are reporting.

I never thought much about that, admittedly.

I always thought the cross hotbar was the same as the shared ones, but that might have just been the wording...

There are eight cross-hotbars available and a setting for each of them where you can select whether that particular one should be shared across all your classes or not. The ones not checked as "shared" have a different selection of skills, macros, items, or whatever, for each class and job you've unlocked.

IIRC, the PS3 and PS4 defaults had the first few crossbars specific to your class and the later few shared between all classes, but I don't remember how many were shared, since I've changed that around a few times myself.
