ARF Lahabrea/Nabriales
In The Aetherochemical Research Facility Lahabrea/Igeyorhm boss fight phase 1 a friend of mine noticed something odd about Lahabrea. I noticed the same when they showed me and I got a look for myself. I don't know it it's a bug, or intended, but if you look closely at Lahabrea's face (or screenshot), he has the same sideburns as Nabriales.
Is this intended, a bug, have I missed something before, or what? Because I've never noticed him with sideburns before. Is Lahabrea actually Nabriales there?

Could you provide one of the screenshots you mentioned? Because I've never seen that. I think it might just be heavy shading. Look at the Astral to Umbral cover and the shading makes it look like Elidibus has sideburns, too, when he clearly doesn't in-game.
That being said, even assuming for a minute that Nabriales is still alive somewhere, it's not Nabriales because Nabriales has a different aether/battle mask design (floaty red part over his face) than Lahabrea. That was Lahabrea's design.

Its also possible he does have sideburns now. Remember, Ascians manifest in our world by possessing another (living or dead) body, so their appearance can change

If you zoom in they're easier to see

Oh that's neat, thanks for sharing.
However, if you watch the cutscenes in there, Lahabrea absolutely, 100% positively doesn't have them, which is why I was wondering where you were getting this from - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ij-1l9eYnDw you get a good look at his face around 1:27, as well as quite a few close-ups after you beat him.
So yeah, SE may have just been lazy and used Nabri's battle model. It would be super creepy if Igeyorhm has them as well.
Edit: I mean, if I wanted to extrapolate some deeper meaning from this, which I don't think is there beyond it's definitely not Nabriales, but remember what Elidibus says? Ascian forms are a creation of your expectations and your inability to comprehend their true form. So, you saw Nabriales' form be destroyed, flat out. It falls to the ground and Nabriales reforms, sideburns intact. So the expectation you have is from your last battle, and you twist them to look like Nabriales.
