Relics And raid gear an idea.
I hear for the dev team there is a little issue about ilv and difficulty ( Grind vs skill needed for raid gear ) and thought I will offer this idea.
Make relics take an unique slot in ilv, keep tome gear ilv 200 make any raid gear 5/10 levels above relic, so make relics 170-205-215. Making them Slightly worse then raid upgraded gear but better then tomes gear on second upgrade giving them a decent placing in gear progression and making them an option for non-hardcore players. As well as lessening the RNG element needed if relics are aimed at casuals / non-hardcore loving players who may play 1-3 hours a day ( in cases it takes 3-4 + hours just for one crystal of 18 needed ) the RNG element makes it non-causal. If you indeed want to make relics causal make them equal time needed rather then luck over RNG because ultimately you want to be-able to do something towards your goal every-time you log-in rather then a ' chance ' too, and how bad will it feel that you grinded 3 hours all your gaming time and had nothing to show for it?
I would rather take a 5-10 ilv disadvantage and follow a quest progression rather then grind the same thing for over 3 + hours in hopes RNG gives me 1 of 18 crystals needed. ( And don't make it all filler quests for hecks sake )
