[Dev1022], [Dev1032], [Suggestion] - Auto Attack/Stamina Idea
I have posted this else where on other forums and sent it directly to feedback in Europ before this forum was up and running.
Here is my Idea
"What you think of this idea for improving the battle system. I think it would work well.
Have Light attack as an auto attack and remove it from the stamina system so you always attack with light attack at regular intervals like you did in FFXI.
then use the stamina bar to regulate how many other skills you can use during the battle until enough stamina is regained
if you wanted to use a heavy attack, magic, ability or a weaponskill inbetween your regular attks you use stamina and Tp/Mp for certain abilities (i.e heavy swing only uses extra stamina as does abilities like provoke etc).
once stamina is too low your auto attack slows down, and you become unable to use certain skills, abilities and magic until the stamina bar recovers. (the rate would need tweaking)
you could also add in damage increases with high stamina and taken damage increase with low. (Ill clarify if that does not make sense)
This would allow for strategic class roles in battle, the tank would need to keep stamina high as to keep damage taken low and have stamina in reserve for provoke / emergency heals.
the DPS chars would have to manage their stamina as to not slow down strikes and give good continuous damage. (pugs/marauders)
the spike damage players would use all there stamina in one go and then slow down in attack and damage until stamina is regained and repeat (im thinking archers lancers here).
All in all there are multiple ideas you can attach to the core idea but this would bring more fun into the battle system and more strategy in party and solo play, without changing game dynamics too much. "
