does square really expect us to farm 1 million mgp

i started playing ffxiv when heavensward came out. I only started playing triple triad to get the beast claw for glamour purposes. i kind of want that mount but at 1 million mgp that is ridiculous. i can farm 12000 mgp in 2 hours. it is feasible but now worth it in my opinion

It's possible to do and people have done it already. I'm missing less than 200k from 1mil. If you don't want to do it, then don't.

It's meant to be a long term goal, not something you grind your ass off for (although that is an option). In just a few months I made about around half a million MPG with the mini-cactpot, although I'm more lucky than most with that thing. With the weekly Gold Saucer log, just do the Mini-Cactpot with the log and you'll get it in 6-12 months time with relatively little effort.

I think there should definitely be some things that take a long time. Most things are cheap/fast, but you have a few prizes that take a big effort and that increases their rarity and makes them feel more special.

Well the top reward for the weekly lotto is 1M or something like that, just putting it out there.

6000 mgp per hour, pretty decent. What do you do to get that? Want gold dance sobad.

I also dislike pretty much everything related to Gold Saucer (mgp, triad, vermillion, cactpot, chobo racing) >> but some people enjoy it so \o/

Mini cacpot is my only source of mgp - now you can do it 3 times a day chances are pretty good. You get dry spells, but you can also get 20 or 30k from it on a lucky day. I've bought both dances and the new bunny top from mini cacpot winnings alone. Not doing it is throwing easy mgp away!

Honestly with the mount being out for quite some time, starting up recently and complaining about the cost when others have already gotten it is kinda silly. It may be a pain but it can be done, I grinded for about 300k in 2 days to get the full Gambler set (and barding). A mix of mini-cactopot which has a max potential of 30k in one day (I usually hit 10k at least once every other day), chocobo races and cuff-a-curr is all I did. Just relax, do the daily cacto-pot and eventually you'll get enough, or get lucky with the big jackpot.
