Laucher has stopped working

I've tried to download patch 3.1 and started my game as normal in Admin mode, the Launcher Updater ran and downloaded an 18.20MB update and proceeded to restart the Launcher. At that point it gave the usual dark background Launcher screen and threw a message box saying "Final Fantasy XIV has stopped working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." My only option available is a Close Window button.

I have tried running compatability mode for Win XP and Win 7, I already run in Admin mode. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall and nothing has worked.

Any help would be appreciated.
