That is a very good question, I want to say yes but not sure...just try it out.
It'll medica heal everything forever, even if just regular healing is best...but anyway yes it should heal your pet.
Keep in mind that the chocobo AI is about as smart as a cockroach. It's better than nothing, and yes, it will heal your summon. But don't think it will replace an actual healer.
