Stellazio can I have it?

While playing around with Ast today I had an idea. A little background in FFIX the last ff game to be produced on the PSone the player is tasked with locating 12 special coins depicting the 12 astral signs, and to return those 12 coins to a collector in exchange for treasures some unique, some found everywhere. I had the idea why not bring that mini game to ffxiv reinvented for the mmo. Starting from the month it is patched in have non tradable coins depicting that months astral sign drop to players at random for clearing fates, dungeons, trial bosses, raids, gathering, crafting just everything we do in normal play players can collect these coins and turn them in before the change of the astral month for prizes selected for that month including gil, tomes, astral month themed glamour gear, crafting materials, weapons and the like.

Each month the gear offered and weapons change to the next months theme gathering the stellazio will be easy since you earn them through regular play. Collecting a certain amount each month unlocks an achievement for the month for "Example July = Cancer Achievement "You've got crabs 1, 2, 3 and so on"" Collect all 12 achievements and upon collecting the achievement for the 12th stellazio unlock additional rewards from the collector which may be purchased year round with any Stellazio coins. Every subsequent year increase the number of achievement collectables by 100 up to max 300 after 3 years each year the 12 month achievement is earned increase the available year round rewards to those players. Players collect year round miss a month gotta wait till next year but still make the rewards attractive and players will play for them. Not a grind, it's a persistent mini game played within the regular play of the main game and requires no extra effort. Just an idea I'd like to see and I think would be popular in a theme park game. Offer the glamours and weapons for each month the first time around make them available for one year after as year round then retire them to the mog station for real money, keep the rewards fresh every year and players will keep playing the game.

You know people have had friends, family and loved ones die to cancer right? That's kinda f*$^%$%# up to use as an achievement.

Really?! That's what you found wrong with this? Lighten up it's probably a lot less offensive than some of the achievements we've seen in game and you know it besides it was an example and within SE's proven track record for humor. Anyway to answer the on topic question above Stellazio were key items in ff9 there were 12 you found them hidden around the world as you traveled and turned them in to an npc in Treno.
In this game Treno would be a good comparison for The Gold Saucer, it was a pleasure community for the rich which also contained a slum for poor refugees, it was a gambling town which also hosted the games card game tournament events. As you turned in these stellazio items you were given a number of items including potions, gil, and rare armor's and weapons for turning them in. My idea takes this idea and makes it a year round event with monthly changing rewards, and infinite replay value which rewards players who play without taking breaks while not punishing those who do take breaks. Join in at any time and if you miss a month pick it up next year, unlock the year's achievements and you can purchase a month's items you may have missed as a year round item.
