Demolish affected by its own greased lightning?

I recently started lvling monk and noticed that greased lightning now gets applied at the start of the skill. Since demolish has a really long animation and takes some time to be applied is it affected by the greased lightning it granted now?

For example: starting with 0 greased lightning, bootshine->true strike->demolish(gain GL->dot applied)

Yes. It happened since Heavensward.

GL does not effect the move that applies it. They changed the timing so that the stack is applied at the start of the animation rather than the end, but everything else is the same. So in your example you would have Demo applied at 0 stacks and the abilities following Demo would have the effect of one GL stack.

Edit - This is also quite easy to test for yourself. Just Form Shift to Coeurl Form and use Demo then watch it tick. Then do the same thing while applying Demo while already having GLI, GLII, and GLIII. You'll see the average damage increase for each tier.
