Protect & CNJ/WHM

hello. first, i think it is fair what they did to Protect by removing the Proshell trait. now everyone that can use Protect can buff up both physical and magic defense.

however, i wouldn't mind seeing a little something brought back to CNJ/WHM with Protect.


maybe one of the following?

a.) like stoneskin, reduced cast speed. this will be useful after reviving a player.
b.) reduced mana consumption. Raise costs enough! lol
c.) increased radius. this can be useful after reviving multiple players.



i don't know... it's not an issue or anything, i just thought it would be kind of neat to see something brought back to CNJ/WHM on the Protect spell.

While I understand that the WHM lost some of its identity with the buff nerfs all around, I really think that there could perhaps be another avenue to make WHMs the """dedicated""" healer that it had been professed as since 1.0, such as maybe HoT buffs. Tetragrammaton and Benediction really keep the feel of being the premier healer for this role, but I think that there could be just a bit more oomph to it.

Relating to Protect itself, I don't think that anything should really buff the spell as it seems to be in a good spot right now. Perhaps there could be a different avenue to be explored to identify a WHM in the future.

yeah, maybe. it was just a thought, though. and again, not a real issue or anything to get worked up over. i just thought maybe since they were able to keep a slight advantage for CNJ/WHM when using Stoneskin that they could do something similar for Protect.
