DRG level 45 JOB Quest bugged

Steps:
1. I started the level 45 Job quest for Dragoons known as Double Dragoon
2. Did all of the requirements of the quest as to obtain the green "Completed" quest symbol
3. Went to the NPC Alberic to hand in the Draconian flute and Horde skull
4. He takes the items, however he does not grant the reward
5. As a result, I no longer have the Draconian flute or Horde Skull however the quest is still shown as completed
6. I cannot abandon the quest as it is still in its completed state and whenever I talk to Aymeric the NPC dialogue is of his "give me the items" nature, thus rendering me unable to continue the quest line for my skills.
