Bomb Ash and rocky outcrops.

I'm level 25 on my miner and armorer. I have the quest to make a HQ steel ingot which requires bomb ash. I looked up that it's supposed to come from rocky outcrops east of Forgotten Springs. But I've been all over that area and can't find a single outcrop or mineral deposit.

My first thought was that maybe I need to be a higher level. But that doesn't make sense because other deposits and outcrops have shown up for me in other areas even though they're several levels above mine. So is there something I'm doing wrong?

You can see a node when you are fewer than 5 levels below it, or higher, in level. To see a level 10 node, you had to reach level 6.

To see the level 30 node you seek, you need to be level 26.
