Possible Solution: Physical Collector's Edition Through Steam

I don't know what the current plans are to resolve this issue, if it is even being treated as such, but for those who want the Physical CE of Heavensward who can't because they have their copy of FFXIV through steam it is really frustrating.

My thought on the subject was to have SE or Valve create a website where a person can exchange a valid game code for an equivalent steam code. That way the person can get the physical collector's edition but still get the game through steam as they would need to. The exchange wouldn't have to be immediate, so that the game code could be deactivated or flagged as used then an email would go out with the steam version.

I know that Heavensward is right around the corner and there may not be time to accomplish this but it would be nice to see something from SE about this oversight. (I believe it was just never really thought about ahead of time and not intentionally ignored) It would go a long way to bolstering the communities confidence in the game and the company behind it.
