I had headphones on and was listening to the NPC GOBLIN's attack sound effect... it's literally just an audio clip of a dog barking I'm serious lol. If you haven't noticed it yet go check it out.

I've seen instances were kobolds are lizardmen, but most of the time, and as it appears in FFXIV, kobolds appear to be some form of canine-people, more "dog" than wolf.
For some reason, the thread title brought to mind the line "This one time in Goblin Camp..."
Kobolds have nearly the exact same sounds as Scorpids in World of Warcraft, which makes me wonder if they're just stock sounds purchased somewhere and then very lightly edited.
I cannot believe people notice stuff like this...I would have never noticed this...LOL
With combat sounds turned down and speakers or headphones you can.
you no take candle! oh ffxiv kobolds? hmmm yeah they are "werewolves" kinda...

Also, Brayflox is full of goblins, not kobolds. Goblins and their more tech-oriented kin moblins.
You mean Goblins right? o.o
If I remember correctly Annoymoose mentioned that goblins actually sound muffled when they talk the "barking" might actually be the Pshhh... Shkohhh... noise they make which almost sounds like they are breathing through gas mask.
Kobolds are particularly weird in that whole "Reptilian or Mammalian" split, which I think it's possible due to the change from Goblin subrace in early editions of DnD and that sort of lot of game, to more reptilian in later editions, but I could be wrong in my assumption. Honestly I'm a little curious on where individual games and groups get their interpretations of Kobold.
Never have seen Kobold in Brayflox ^^
