Duelist/Redmage "Tanking Class" DoM

Duelist - Duelist are unique sense they study arts of conjuration/black arts they invited a new type of magic. the "Spirits Sword" short-line blade's known as rapiers. with swiftness and grace they are able to draw magic ruin's with magical rapiers preform skills


Rapier (Main Damage Stat) Intelligence (shield slot) Buckler (kinda of a small shield) (wears heavy armor)


1: Walt's: Comet Thrust - Strikes the target two time's each attack dealing 80 potency ((Additional Effect: Increase's Enmity if weapon is enchanted)) cost 80 TP

3: Enstone - your auto-attacks deal additional 20 Potency per attack (additional effect increase's enmity (cost MP)

5: Burning Thrust - (Must) 5-yalm charging thrust that lights the ground on fire (line aoe) damages all enemies within a line for 100 potency and then deals 25 potency over 18 (cost 150 TP)

7: Riposte - Only Trigger's deals 150+ potency pbaoe causes enmity only triggers when you parry. has 30 recast time (does not share cool-down with other abilities

10: Icy Spikes - Deal's 20 Potency every time you are hit with an attack or spell. cause enmity every time you are attacked

13: Walt's: Ignite Jab - draws the finger cross the blade. then thrusts deals about 120 potency additional effect: if used with after comment thrust the spell deals 170 damage
Additional effect: if used while enchanted : target have 24 timer on when the time is up all nearby targets take 300 fire damage

lvl15 Class Quest - Encure - Enchant's your weapon with curative powers. every time you attack you will heal nearby allies and yourself for 15 potency per attack ((all en spells stack))

((alot of strong redmagy defensive cool-downs, self heals en and spikes spells afterwards))


Red Mage's Spells -

lvl30 Phalanx - Place's a Strong Refresh on the target. while phalanx is active all enmity caused by that player becomes your enmity

Lvl35 -Blink - increase's your parry rate by 100% for next 3 attack's

lvl40 - Quake - Stomp the ground causing dealing 200 potency as damage causing 40% heavy

lvl45 - Paralyze - Paralyze's target for 60 second's every 3 seconds there a chance there attack/movements has a small chance to be halted

lvl50 - Enultima - every time your attack's crit you ignite dealing another close range pbaoe that deals 80 potency per crit with additional enmity

Traits -

Evade and Counter - Every time you have a parry you counter attack with auto-attack has 20% more chance to crit

Parry Mastery - Increase's your parry stat

Secondary Job: Gladator
Third Job: DRK

this is a bit rough so forgive me if seems imba still working on the rest pls feel free add your input. again the red mage isn't gonna be the red mage most ppl are feel they are most used too

interesting, I always like it when people post job ideas.

a few questions: How long would the en spells last? is it based on # of attacks, or time? If they last too long, it seems like they would be extremely over powered. Same with ice spikes, is it a time based spell, or based on the next X number of times being hit. Your version of Phalanx sounds interesting, it could actually be used as a tank swap ability if you couldn't cross class something like provoke or didn't have one yourself. I like the idea of a mage tank, we'll have to see how DRK is implemented.
