SE Do not do a maintenance where we can "supposedly" continue playing!

Please do not do a maintenance where we can supposedly keep playing, especially during prime time (at least for me)

I got booted while going into Sycrus Tower in progress an hour ago I can't connect to the data center and keep getting a lobby server connection error.

If you aren't sure what side effects something might have, be careful!!!!

What were you thinking? D:

And no broadcast in chat either to remind us there could be problems? :/

Getting the same thing myself. Can't connect to the data center at all. For over an hour now.

Ditto for me. For nearly 2 hours now. I'm past annoyed

Been sitting in some weird one person queue to log in for ages now..after stepping away for a while because I could not log in at all. Going to have to go do something boring, like sleep I guess:(

Thought I'd sweep out the chocobo stable and give the birds some food before bedtime - think of the suffering they are going thru now!!! Nite, and hope this is all better in the morning.

I logged out to get my glam mats to get my sexy on and I can't log back in now :(

Was this a "planned" maintenance? if so, there really should've been an announcement.. I wouldn't have logged out if I'd known

At the following time, we will be performing maintenance on the North American data center. During this time, players may be temporarily unable to connect to the North American data center, or may become disconnected from the server, but gameplay will be possible by logging in again.

Lots of people missed it since it was in between the other announcements lol

I'm really smug because some rude people last night called me a slur directed at mental health issues (which I shall not repeat) when I said I wouldn't be staying online in case anything happened. I really hope those people now think about whether they should have listened to advice about not doing anything important during maintenance rather than being offensive.
