How to change your race chocobo colour?

most likely by breeding I guess, the offspring will have one of the parent colors, so, breed it with colored ones from npcs, then other players etc.

Can't breed with other players' chocobos. That would encourage/allow RMT. The only way stated to change your race choco's color is to breed with a chocobo of the color you want. The child inherits their color from one of the parents. So, to introduce a new color into your breeding pool, you'll have to get an NPC chocobo with that color using one of the NPC breeding permit thingies.

It is probably through stats and breeding. If its based off the FFVII GC/Breeding then it will be done properly through stats and breeding. It just opened up, give it some time...

excellent :)

Done via breeding we assume, the coloured chocobos in races now are NPCs, you can tell by their green nameplates. ^^
