Question about weddings

Okay, so, I started a quest with my friend to get married and we are up to planning the date but haven't yet, however, my other friend wants to marry me and I'd rather marry him so what can I do?

There is an NPC at the chapel area that allows you to cancel your quest. I'm sorry, I don't remember the NPC's name at the moment, but it is in the area where you first started the quest. It will require that you turn in your wristlet. You may then start the quest anew with your new friend.

What benefit do we have from marriage?

Depends.... Who is going to fork over more $$$ to get that White Choco Mount?

So if we broke up the chocobo mount will disappear?

The benefit of being married is being able to have a free teleport to your partner. Other things as far as I know are rewards of the ceremony... I remember a dev said all benefits remain besides teleports if there is a change of server, but I do not know about divorce...
Benefits are:
Custom hair style
Wedding attire
Double riding chocobo
Embrace emote

Similiar just in white but its only on payed ones.
Also on gold and platinum (payed) your guests get a minion.

To cancel a wedding i think its the 2nd npc you talk to at all but not sure. You will loose the brace (or it looses its use) and need to rebuy it.
