Repurposing/Selling a Housing Unit?

I have a question relative to housing. I'm considering buying a Medium House as a private home but would possibly like to sell it later to my Free Company when they raise the funds for it.

Does anyone know if that is a possibility?

I do know that people sell housing units although I'm not really sure of the procedure. Also if a house is purchased as a private and then sold can the buyer repurpose it as a FC one when buying it? Can they choose which type housing they would prefer? Any information relative to buying and selling is appreciated.

This is not possible, in order to sell it you have to destroy the plot putting it back up on the market and your FC will be responsible for paying full price. Personal housing does not allow FC members to get rooms or have any permissions, if your intent is to help your FC then the only thing you can do it donate to their cause.

The reason housing is not re-sellable by the user is to prevent RMT/monopolizing. If it was possible to buy a house with intent to sell then RMT and rich people would buy every plot and attempt to profit off of it which is not the purpose of housing in this game.

When you see people selling plots in party finder it's generally that they are either a) selling their FC leadership along with the plot or b) there are no plots available and somebody is paying them to destroy theirs so they can buy it themselves (obvious risk with that)

You can only relinquish lands in which case you lose the investment on both the house deed and what you paid for the land itself. The second person then can only purchase the land again but it would be at the most expensive price possible as it resets the depreciation timer. They also will have to purchase a new house deed.

So in order to do this your FC will have to come up with the funds of both plus extra for compensation to you if you are expecting that.
