'Out of range' o_O
Hello everyone,
I need to agree first: FFXIV dev. team included a really impressive impovement of overall
game physics and mechanics and new Firefall Faire festival is endlessly funny :D, many thanks for that, since new patch 1.18b!
But ... some weird things happen sometimes on battlegrounds.
It affects only simple 'attacks' while AutoAttack is active and a player try to hit his target automatically.
Well, when you are running around a selected target (or stand before it) in approximately (visual) 1-3 feets away or if your target is couple feet above/below your position, AutoAtack simply ...
... does NOT want to hit!
Most of the time your are getting error messages like 'target is our of range' or 'target is to far away' o.O .
Server lags shall be not that affective, 'cause you stand in 1 area right before your target or run around (!) in 1-3 (visual) feet distance. Target is standing right before you or spins around his own axis.
Anything else like TP moves and Spells are working great , but ... you need to hit something properly before you can use some melee TP skillZ.
It is the same problem with DoW (used MRD) as well as with DoM (used CON).

Well, ... how are we supposed to play, if we cannot even hit something with AA (evade and miss not included, they are working ... just as they should)?
Hmmm, may we get a 'fair' range increase on 'simple melee' implemention, please ^^?

Yes i've seen this a great deal. Especialy when trying to Cast a spell in any area that has a gradual slope to it - I get target out of range, or line of sight error of some kind.
This needs to be solved immediately, squishy casters can't be near the front lines without bad things happening to them...and their health bar.
Also, why for the love of god can we only have ONE BAR of skills visible at a time - why not all 3, hell why not 4 bars ???

Have also noticed this issue as well as one that randomly pops up telling me if I change jobs I may lose SP. Ummm I'm not changing jobs I'm killin stuff LOL!
Have either of you had your auto-attack just stop attacking until you go passive then re-engage? That kind of sux too when AA doesn't work. -.- Personally, I wanted the AA that worked from XI or Aion or I guess even WoW (nvr played it). I honestly didn't mind the attack features before the AA. Otherwise, imho, they could just get rid of it if it's that broken. :)

If you find your AA stop working mid battle, make sure you're within range and hit any action. Even if you can't use the action, you will start AA again.
For instance, when I play GLA I tends to press Rise Shield when get in range from passive mode, and my character will start AA. The reason why I press Shield, is because after getting hit they will retaliate and well, they hit my shield, I block, Phalanx time.
