Lost 3m for the DC，SE you win, I quit this game

I have spent whole month to get the stupid ehcatl Sealants and whole day to get the 75 primary tool. I was asking myself why I am doing the stupid daily quests every day for nothing.

When I finally get everything by buying those stupid things and making them, DC.

I have lost so many gils because of DC. I am tired to suffering from this.

I cannot play the any Ex or T5-9 dungeons for the lagging, so I became a crafter.
But now, it seems like I cannot play crafting anymore.

It becomes more and more difficult for new crafters to join the market. My friends are leaving this game because it takes too many time.
You guys are making this game become more and more complex, you make us leave.

That's exactly why I came back.

Sucks about the DC and loss, no doubt. But in the era of pre-paying for future content (DLC) and expansions giving less for more cost (hi SOE) SE is on par with Eve/CCP on how much new stuff they give away as part of the monthly cost to play. Always having something else to do is a good thing.

They made crafting more of a pain in the ass overall and raiding easier than previous patch which makes no sense whatsoever. They could've at least increased the rewards for crafters if they were going to make it this much trouble to get into for new crafters. I don't understand the direction they want for crafting at all, which bothers me a bit. I've been devoted to both endgame and crafting equally since 2.0 and both have been a disappointment to me in this patch. If it weren't for Ninja and how well developed the class is I probably would've dropped this game for a bit until Heavensward.

As they increase the material cost of every high end craft to some pretty obnoxious levels, they really need to start thinking about adding the ability to continue a craft when it is interrupted via disconnect. It's not like there are THAT many additional variables to store when you're crafting something (dura/quality/status/crafting related buffs&food/CP).

Or at bare minimum, give the same chance to reclaim materials that you would get if you failed the craft.

I craf6ted my first HQ Artisan Off hand and am now farming for my next one. Everyday I think: what would happen if I dc while crafting it? that scares me a lot, since I would waste 8 days of stupid dailies (basically almost all the time I have available for playing the game - two kids take all the rest - I am spending it on daily quests and poetics capping)

You just lose 8 days of playing and doing the same thing over and over, they really value the time and effort you put into this as you can see!(sarcastic face)

Have you ever thought that some of your DC's are problems on your end?

it could be but there is nothing players can do about random disconnecting, even best of the best connections can randomly dc or lag!
sadly i dont think they can do anything about this , if they add higher chance of reclaim or put a fail safe that returns items after a DC people can just abuse it, close the game if they see they going to fail!
only way they can help this is to make it a bit easier to obtain items such as sealants so it be less painful when we lose then

If it was a constant thing that happens regularly, sure, though that could also be PSN being dumb.
It could also be the off chance that servers are being really derp on peak times. I've also seen times where DCs have occured in a good handful of people at the same time in Limosa.

In the end, it's still terrible design to not be able to allow us to continue a craft from where we left off in the case of a DC, especially when they want to make us use time gated and expensive materials for one craft.
