Looking for info to bring me back up to speed.

Hi guys,

I have not played for a long time (Re-downloading at present) and was hoping for a brief refresh.

Last thing i remember doing was beating titan hard mode and running crystal tower a numbe rof times for tomes/gear .Think i stopped Pre 2.1 update.

Think i was trying to save up for mist to complete relic quest.

Ive read there is new tomes and myth is no more?

If someone can give me info on whats changed with Tomes and any vital post 2.1 changes that be great.

Also i enjoy the main story which is main reason for coming back. Is there alot of new main story and cut scenes?

Things they have not added more to since 2.1:
-Levels

Everything else, you can expect to find something new towards working for.

Also, in regards to the tomestone, the concept is still the same where there are two types. The lower rank can be used as a form of endgame currency to by cheap gear and quest items. The other is harder to collect and usually goes towards a stronger endgame set. The names and content it applies to have changed but the basics are still there.

Tomestones of Philosophy has been removed as of today. Any spare that wasn't converted into Mythology is now gone and lost.
Tomestones of Mythology are still there, but cannot be earned. They will be able to be converted into Tomestones of Soldiery.
Tomestones of Soldiery have no weekly cap on earning as of today. Tomestones of Poetics is being introduced in todays patch.

So that's the history.
There's quite a bunch of added Main Scenario quests. It's mostly dealing with Leviathan and Ramuh, who have been introduced as bosses.
You may want to consider watching each patches trailers.

Bunch of new Main Story Quests (MSQ). Sounds like you haven't stepped into the primal extremes yet either so you'll have those to do along with all three coil raids (as well as savage mode if you find yourself looking for a challenge once geared/once you have a static you like). Hunts have been added since you left and are a good way to cap your weekly tomestones as well as a good source of Allied Seals (new currency used to buy gear, items, and some gear just for glamour as well).

Mist should be pretty easy for you to buy now as it has been reduced in price and can be purchased with tomestones of soldiery (again, once servers come up). Current tomestones are tomestones of Poetics (450 a week cap) and Soldiery (no weekly cap/unlimited weekly cap). You'll be able to get some much improved gear within a couple weeks of the new patch being out as the gear bought with Poetics is i120 (and can be upgraded to i130).
