Its nice we had the Final Fantasy XIII quests as an event, but we've had that twice now. I would like to see more of the series for your older fans. Like the weapons from Final Fantasy VIII or Judge Armor from Final Fantasy XII. I think it would pay homage to the games that came before as well as turn your older fans into giddy school girls over seeing the oldies but goodies come back to life.
on a side note i would also think it divinely funny if the imperial capital was made in the image of midgar, a 2 level technological city sounds amazing
I would love to see the FFXII judge armor. I'd buy this from the cash shop.
Well, considering that the whole reason for the FFXIII event (and the FFXI and Dragon Quest events as well) was cross marketing for those specific games due to particular milestones being reached (the release of Lightning Returns ~ FFXIII, plus the eleventh anniversary of the start of FFXI's service and the first year anniversary of service for Dragon Quest X), so unless similar milestones are reached for older titles (say, FFVII's 20th anniversary in 2017), I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a crossover event to happen.
Still, stranger things have happened, but I still think it a crossover event for a 'classic' era FF game (NES/SNES/PSX) is highly unlikely to happen any time soon, if at all.

I'm pretty certain there will be a XV event around the release of it. It's basically extra advertising for them.
