filter for chat hold

Im hoping perhaps I have overlooked this in options. In FFXI, yes I know this is 14. We had option to hold a few lines of chats in the log so that they wouldn't filter out. I currently have to have 2 chat logs open if I want to monitor bosses ability rotations abd the other for party chat and actions.

On a side note does anyone sometimes lose sight of your focus target depending on camera angle or ingame madness? I created a small chat filter that displayed no chat with 0 transparacy. I place my focus target bar in that black box and it works wonders for me.
