Aesthetic changes for Bards?
Been playing the game for a while now, and honestly, I feel like bards are shafted in regards to aesthetics and effects.
Attack animations? They're so closely similar to each other in execution. The only difference is how they'd hold the bow and whether or not they pull on the string for longer than a second. Heck even invigoration and hawk eye share the same animation... Windbite was a nice change in pace to how an ARC/BRD looks during combat.
The biggest problem though? All the animations, including effects and sounds (even on the target), get cut off abruptly when you use another skill during it's animation (which is especially apparent when BRDs have 4 Off-GCD skills), made even worse with Rain of Death's and Bloodletter's animation lasting longer than the default 2.5 GCD.
Remember that satisfying feeling, pre-level 10 when you get misery's end, creates that cross mark on the target when it hits? Doesn't happen anymore as you get more and more skills. Not just the graphics, but the sound effect gets completely cut off so you don't even get that oh-so-good PSSSHHEWW.
I'm all and all for having a functional class, but quips like this (and the "bard" aspect being underplayed a bit in comparison), it just feels that BRD is lacking in visual appeal.
Or am I being incredibly nitpicky here?
