Game Crashing on me or screen flickering black

Hello,

Ever since i started playing (about a week no ;) ) I have been running into issues where my screen will either flicker black and come back or it freezes all together. I get a message saying my video card driver stopped responding. This ONLY happens on this game. Anyone got any ideas? I am on windows 8.1 and have a R290 4GB card. Any help i can get is appreciated. Here is what i tried so far.

Reinstalled the game
Underclocking my video card.
Playing with the fans at 100 percent.
Re installed drivers.
tried beta drivers
updated my BIOS
Ran memory test
re-installed windows.
