Serious Question: Does SE sell Gil now?

Yes, really serious about that. IMO it will be the 3rd patch in a row now that favors rich people.

1) Remove Philo Tomes and replace them with Mythos, Mythos are of course harder to get. I noticed this on my healer: Gearing up at 50 became much harder. You need 2-3x the time now to get tome gear, and drops are horrible. It's probably the best to just buy something from the marketboard.

2) Relic quest: Go and spirit bond tons of gear or, well: Marketboard

3) Chocobo breeding: Does your FC own a house? No? Thats sad....




-> 1: Motivate new (/casual) players to buy gil
-> 2: Motivate old (/medi/hardcore) players to buy gil
-> 3: Motivate communities to buy gil


I'm really starting to wonder if SE wants RMT, every bot and every gil seller still pays real money for the account at least.... Maybe it's just my bad memory from playing Lineage 2....

OMG people need gils, they have to RMT it!

What? They made it take longer to get i90 tome gear than it took to get i70? What the hell were they thinking when they brain stormed that one?

You can get lv 70 gears from dungeons, lv 80 gear from CT,
moreover those places provide ToM that you need for buying lv 90 gear.

Also you get more ToM, ToS from daily roulettes bonus

Tell me why is it very hard for you to gear up ?

They are not selling gil you are just too lazy to make it.

Now a bit more serious, i worked hard to get my FC house, materias are not easy to make (unless you're an asshole, not my case), and i found more easy to gear lvl50 jobs because the ilvl70 gear drops from dungeons. but i agree about the myth problems, with the relics gearing another job with ilvl90 gear is almost impossible, or too grindy, you need myths for everything, i found myself gearing my smn with crafted gear, but after 2.2 making gil is a joke, you can easily make 30k just moving around.

pshh i have my own house (3 man fc), garden, gonna get a stable a personal room and then a private housing when it comes out. i am *rich* as in i do my daily and weekly stuff for the minimum (to maximum) amount of gil i can make weekly from simply rouletes retainers maps and challenge logs doing these simple things can net you a lot of gil (on any job) with little effort.

while i do extra stuff like mining and being a tank so i get that extra gil bonus those only speed up the process which anyone can do to make gil.

Technically speaking, Myth gear is now much easier to get than philo gear (darklight). So actually right now it's faster and easier to get i90 than it is to get i70 which is, in it's own way, severely broken.

if gear is you main focus then i agree, considering roulettes and speed runs. but if you are primarily fixated on relic, then probably not. also if philosophy tomes were still in the game and used as a means to acquire dark light like it used to be, i'm pretty certain they would have scaled up the distribution of them to coincide with the current myth value of the dungeons. fact remains, i think op is just desperately reaching out for random points to back up their statement.

also with the current system, dark light dropping in dungeons to use as filler while you're farming your myth gear makes gearing up at 50 much easier

I would suggest not to buy any expansive gears from the market board, only buy the cheapest accessories relevant to your job for sprint bonding^^;

I haven't spent gill on anything but mounts and minions. Everything is basically free if you got a lil time. You make about 20k a day or more just doing roulette and beast quest. So easy to get and nothing to buy I would be shocked if anyone had less than a million gill.
