Darklight confusion

After recently hitting 50 I decided to look online for recommendations on where to start in regards to endgame. Pretty much everywhere I looked said to start farming tokens for Darklight gear straightaway. I then looked at the gear sets, and unless I'm missing something the mythology set (Relic+1?) is clearly better than the Darklight set and seems to be much easier to obtain (I have 750 Tomestones of Mythology and only something like 30 Tomestones of Philosophy).

Should i carry on farming Tomestones of Mythology, buy the set from them and forget about Darklight alltogether, or am I overlooking something with regards to the Darklight?

You were looking at outdated information, don't worry about darklight.

Darklight used to be quite high up as far as gear went, and it used to be purchased with philo tomes, which dont exist any more. Those tomes you have now in lower quantity than myth are soldiery tomes. Things have moved on.
