Need help with a SMN DPS in SCOB

SMn have ilvl 92

ACC: 487
crit 486
Det: 290
SS: 383

The start rotation I use is : SC -> SF -> RS -> B2MB -> fester-> ruin I -> Contagion -> Rouse-> ruin I (1 or 2)-> fester-> Spur -> ruin I -> Enkindle.

and refresh the dots at around 9 sec (individual, mean I no longer use B2MB but use w/e skill need to refresh) and put in ruin I and II in between.

according to other ppl, my dps in t6 is not over 200 dps (something like 192+ 70 or + 80)
and t7 at 50% is below 150

what I did wrong for having to low DPS ?

Refresh DOTs at 9 sec is too early and wasted MP alot

I usually refresh BIO 2 and MIASMA at around 4 sec and I refresh BIO at 1 or even hit 0 sec (coz its instant cast)

T6 DPS not over 200? did you count your pet? this is abnormal xD I suggest you try strike dummy

NVM, you say 192+70, that sum as 262 total, its a bit low for your gears, I believe

You can do 300+, its not hard

and T7 IF you are Kitter, do not count : P

If you open with swiftcast shadow flare and use raging strikes after then your shadow flare is not being boosted. Personally I open with RS, B2, M, B, fester during the bio GDC then SC SF and use rouse and spur during that GDC. If you want to be the most efficient after that you'd use Miasma 2 and contagion before getting into the ruins and fester just before the RS expires. It's the most optimal opener without using pots imo.

In fights where you can, use auto attack (T6 and 8 for instance), weave your off-GDC skills in during GDCs, like fester, aetherflow and the pet buffs. Personally i save enkindle for a situation with adds since very few fights let you use it twice anyway and I'd rather make it more useful when I do. Use mega/X int pots whenever you feel would be best (I do for the 3rd of the first set of adds in T7 for instance).

Also don't clip your dots like that. Recast Miasma or Bio2 whenever they have about 3 seconds left, and re-use Bio right after it drops off and put shadow flare back down once those 3 are up. typically in a fight I do B2 M B then when those are wearing off I end up doing M B2 B and my timers tend to line up so I can B2 M B next time around and keep the timers simple. I do 300+ in all SCOB content, with my most recent T7 run with me as the kiter doing 295DPS, with a top of like 330 or 340 when I wasn't kiting (a luxury I haven't had in a while)

We're also on the same server so maybe I can see what you're doing sometime and get an idea of what's missing.

so my dmg is my own + my pets and not my own dmg alone ? (I belive that is how my team view it )

I will take on your advice about the dots refresh, that might be the issue that cause my dmg to low on t6 and t7

Yeah SMN dmg came from Caster + Pet, that how SMN dps

and another NOTE

I say refresh BIO 2 and MIASMA at 4 sec, I mean I start casting at 4 sec, not mean start cast early before 4 sec XD

Yeah if you're kiting and doing 150+ garuda that's fine. If that was just your own DPS though then that does need looking at. My 295 while kiting is 205 me + 90 garuda. I leave garuda on the boss the whole time and hold back my dps both to position renaults and to ensure a voice going off before each phase change. At 82% in my group if I don't ruin or fester we tend to get a voice being cast right before the adds show up for instance, but if I ruin during that time we skip it and I lose a renault. so I could realistically be doing another couple dps

Ya i play SMN and i do a easy 300+ in turn 6/7 i don't kite tho but even with kiting i still do great dps. You have to count both pet and yourself the pet is part of you so the dps is also. Once you get to turn 8 your dps would be lower due to the fact that it's just attacking one boss so other jobs like MNK and BRD may do more then you.

my dps increase a lot, thank for the advice. but now I have to do the kite job in T7 :/

Haha, kiting is pretty easy once you get it down though. You should try 4 stack method if your team's dps allows it. You basically just need a voice before each transition period, so she should cast a new voice at 81%, 61%, 36% and fight as the prosector dies. If you feel confident you can try and make them all face Melusine too so that petrifaction refreshes them.
