Claustrophobic Grinding

I love the idea of having more dungeons, but every single time I queue for a dungeon, I feel like I'm suffering from claustrophobia. I'm tired of doing the same dungeons over and over again just to get some tokens. I want to be free and explore Eorzea as a Warrior of Light, not as some amusement park visitant.

I am wondering if there are any future plans for open-world grinding with plausible progression. I'm not saying ilvl 110 items should drop from monsters, all I'm saying is if we can get some rare/exclusive gears from open-world grinding (Not Odin, I'm talking about a new currency.) I don't mind farming tokens out in the open. If RMTs are the problem, you can turn me into an errand girl by doing 25 quests before getting these "special" gears.

I don't have the highest reputation with a beast tribe so I don't know what they sell at the highest level, but it would be cool with special currency for beast tribes and that you could buy cool looking items (say ilvl 70-80 so that they are mainly used for newer players or vanity)
