Legacy Service Fee as Veteren Reward?

My husband gets the discounted Legacy fee and all he had to do in order to get it was pay 3 consecutive months during FFXIV 1.0

I have to pay at the least $3 more per month for my service fee since I hadn't taken part in 1.0. I know that $3 is not much but I would think that since they offer a lower rate for only at least 3 month play during 1.0 that it could be lowered for other players as a Veteran Reward. It could even go away if the service is ever canceled and the player would have to work back up or however they would like to make it.

I've taken part in 1.0 and i never even got the discounted fee. They -could- just lower the costs of it entirely since people seem as dissatisfied with the game as they were with 1.0... But hey.

With 1.6 million subs and growing.
I highly doubt they will offer any further discounts for a very long time.
If they ever did a veteran reward discount they would have to give it to all players regardless of Legacy or non Legacy status.

They announce the Legacy benefits when 1.0 was out.

This is a reward to the loyal fans that stuck through the hardships of the old game and help Square create a new game the players wanted.

This discount is a reward for their patience and support.

I'm a 1.0 player but I never participated in the Legacy campaign (college classes and a new job took this time away from me).

I don't think we should get the same benefits as Legacy players. Yeah it sucks that we missed out on it, but they did make these announcements ahead of time.

Legacy players paid their monthly dues on a game that was still in beta.

We already get discounts by paying months in advance.
