Mnk Gear progression question

Currently building up myth tomes for my gear and was wandering is it better for me to go ahead and get the top or should i go for the gaskins first.

CT chest can actually carry you for quite some time but also is only a short answer.

Are you gearing only through ct/myth or also through coil? What is current gearing/itemization and stats?

If running coil what is your acc?

Main priority is to get your +1 weapon, or somehow get primals EX done and get that weapon.
Afterwards, since Allagan Body is better than Melee but drops in T5, which takes a while to get to, you could get Melee body and then keep your acc up with AF2 while getting some coil stuff.

That's the ideal gear progression. Mind you, Monk's 'good' gear is in coil, so unless you want to have 900 acc and skill speed, you should mix and match, and use Melee to keep your accuracy up to standards, basically

I am mainly running ct atm with plans to begin running coil atleast turns 1-3 next week. My current setup is a mix of ct gear dl and the HQ Gryphonskin top.

i90 MNK here. There are a lot of choices you can go. I recommend chest price first. Until you get allagan wep and chest pce your BiS is MNK chest. I use almost allagan everything for the main stats and I use HQ food for accuracy. I found this to be better stats than accuracy gear and food for stats. A lot of people do different things. With the accuracy from your +1 wep you dont need accuracy from MNK pants, you can wait for allagan legs. You want at least 470 accuracy with food for 100% hit t1-t4.

well just to point 1 thing this is all perspective if you get really lucky! on the drops then allagan would be awesome unless you get my luck and dragoon gear just drops >.< also for accessories best one from myth are neck and bracers unless you can get ifrit ones they help with ACC

With HQ Gryphon chest (if fully over melded) I would say work on upgrading other stuff. Though the melee chest would last as an upgrade since allagan is t5 it also can be avoided for a while. You can use the myth to upgrade other slots in the mean time with BiS. Also start learning/farming Garuda EM for the ring.
