Will SE sue my pants off?

I would like to make a fanfic about a character and her adventures through Eorzea and publish it to Amazon. But if I do, will SE sic their lawyers on me?

Does anyone know how Square feels about things like this?
Or should I just avoid it all together?

Pretty sure the fact you are trying to make money off of it will get lawyers onyou.

Probably if it's successful and you're using characters in game and their name. Best to email them and ask yourself.

Make sure the protagonist is a Galka named Donut Steel.

If you did the same with Harry Potter. Not entirely different really.

Heck armed robbers who attack you can sue you for injuring them when they tried to rob you. :p
