Quick synthesis success/failure rate adjusted

Forgive me if this has been asked; I did a quick search and didn't find anything.

Before 2.1, quick-synthesis seemed to have ~ 1-2% failure rate for me. Now it seems to be approaching 10% (certainly above 5%). This hasn't just been on a couple of efforts either; it's fairly consistent... Does anyone know if the failure rates were actually increased, and if so, if this was intentional?

I don't bother with QS at all as it was pathetic in it's original state and if they've nerfed it even more it's beyond usable now anyway ...

You dont bother with QS?.... hahah nice one really =)

So you tell me you are really synthesing 99 or twice 99 items on your own :D seems like you have a lot of patience

Yes, After I found out it could fail, I have never used it since. Success rate should be 100%, since done manual its impossible to fail a synth, once you have steady hands or careful synth, if you just focus on completing it. That said I macro craft a lot.

I use it on low end stuff like the roof tiles.

I also added in the grind tax when I gathered. I needed 1x99 straw and 2x99 Potters clay so I gathered 20 and 40 extra of each.

Last night fleece was super cheap, and woolen yarn was at least 4x material cost. Also, I need a few more levels on Wvr, and I can easily make HQ Wool Cloth from one NQ and one HQ Woolen Yarn. Guess what I did while I was taking my dogs for a walk??? 99 QS yarn... 3 or 4 failures, almost 20k profits.
