Perception & Botany?

Does it affect your chances when gaining HQ items from Botany? Regardless of my perception my HQ chance hasn't increased past 15%. I understand that traits increase that % as I level it up more. What does it actually increase?

there is a soft cap @ 15% for all items to be HQ (excluding using skill to boost)

yes, i believe u had reach e ceiling

A higher perception doesn't give you a better chance with each item; it gives you a chance to receive HQs on higher level items.

Doesn't matter what level you are or how high your perception is, there is an HQ cap of 15% pre-buffs. There are nodes with "Gathering Fortune" which increases it by 5% for 20%. Also, you get an ability later called Leaf Turn II that increases it by 30% so the most you can get is 50% (not counting the 100% chance ability called Brunt Force).

More perception only helps you reach the cap for higher level items.

Also, if you have 15% HQ on unspoiled nodes, there is no reason to add more perception.

any1 know how much perception needed to reach e soft cap for unspoiled nodes?
