Updating to latest patch

Cab anyone please help me. My PC crashed and now i'm trying to load FFXIV on my laptop. Got it downloaded and installed but when the came begins to update it gets exactly half way through the update and then stops. IT doesn't time out it just says updating FFXIV. I let it sit 8+ hours and nothing. Have deleted and re-installed and still the same thing. Have gone through all the steps on the support site and still nothing. Please help me I would love to play the game again but cant get the damn thing to update.
