Suggestion: myth/raid gear should have materia slots

Mythology and raid gear should have some materia slots. Currently materia is really only put in ilvl55-70 none of the ilvl70 is BiS or even close to it. This would make materia more valuable if you could actually use it on BiS gear. This would help out the economy and people who craft would sell more lower ilvl gear because they would buy more lower level gear for spirit bonding and materia would be more in demand. This would allow some more customization and end level gear.

I think you're missing the point that its because of materia that crafted gear, in some cases, becomes "BiS". Click me.

Just curious why you wouldn't ask for Crafted gear to become more meaningful? Why does it have to be mythology/raid gear?

Why can't both be more meaningful? Why can't we put materia in everything? Why even have materia if it can't be used to customize BiS gear? Vanya isn't BiS, the only crafted BiS stuff iirc is the accessories. So really, what is the point of matera with combat stats? It literally becomes useless the further in the game you progress (on a personal level, I know there are uses for it. None of them are really practical with current prices though).

Your missing the point because vanya gear is not BiS at all or even comes close to being better then AF2 or coil gear. It is the steping stone to AF2 or Coil gear. Most people find it cheaper to go with Darklight gear because crafted gear isn't that much of an upgrade and it costs a lot to make and getting materia for it drives up the cost more, that the majority of the people opt for darklight before they upgrade to ilvl 90 stuff.

I do think the current state of crafted gear is nowhere near what it should be. THe cost of materials in tomes alone renders it pointless imo. Only a few jobs truly benefit from it and that is mainly healers. THe cost of materials to make it needs to drop a smidge or make it require less. For how difficult it is to craft it (HQ) compared to its use, meh its just not worth it.
