Close to lvl 30. Suggestions?

So, this is my situation: I have THM at lvl 28, CNJ at lvl 25 and ACN at lvl 20. I know that at level 30 a class can be merged with another at lvl 15 and make a new class. But how does it work? If I merge THM with ARC (which I don't have yet) to make a Black Mage as I wanted since the beginning do I lose the previous two? Or given my situation now, once I level up ACN to lvl 30 i can make both the Summoner and Scholar? I can't find anything explaining it.

Once your THM reaches 30, you go do your class quest, and after completion you'll get another one leading you to become a BLM. That's it, it doesn't consume either class. As you level a BLM it levels your THM. The only significant change is that your cross class abilities will be restricted a bit more by how many, and you can only draw from the two designated ones. (Not sure which, as I am a DRG and WAR) You can be any job, just level the main one to 30 and the secondary to 15 and you can do those quests. They all start from the Guildmasters. Hope this helps

its not really merging, every class have different job
and to become that job you just need to have specific level 15 class
you won't lost anything because job is just an "item", you will get Soul of Black Mage for example and you equip that, you automatically become black mage and have access to black mage job skill
you unequip the stone and you will become a THM again, when you played as BLM you will get THM exp not ARC

you can become anything on FF, bored playing BLM? make another level 30+15 and you get another job soul

Ahhh, thank you both!! That's great then! I was afraid I was going to lose my most dear THM. ^_^

So I assume that for ACN I will get 2 different class quests, then. One for Summoner and the other for Scholar? More I play this game and more I love it!

yup you get 2 level 50 job when playing ACN, but unfortunately its 1 class meaning you cant put different stat allocation (int for smn, mnd/pie for sch)
