New 50 PLD - Now what?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I haven't came across a form as of yet.. none the less I was curious on what to focus on. I just finished the story line and I see everyone asking about Chimera , Hard Modes, and AK etc. Being new....I do not know if I qualify or if I should begin with another dungeon. Any advice would be nice :) Thanks in advance

Also, when a piece of gear is obtain and the "loot list" is updated, can I see what loot in is a dungeon so I know which dungeons to grind in order to get PLD gear?

Don't worry so much about doing your relic quest until you get a decent amount of gear from Amdapor Keep. That is the quest line for Chimera/Hydra and such.

AK itself might prove to be quite difficult for you as a fresh 50, so I'd suggest jumping into Wanderer's Palace first and getting a set of greens from there. I think a full set of armor can drop there, as well as a weapon. You can also gain tomestones of philosophy from it, which helps work towards your darklight set. Or you can farm CM/Praetorium for tomestone and gear for darklight that way. I'd say that once you have all your first set of AF gear replaced, then you can start trying out AK to see if you still have difficulty in there.

Once you get a fulls et of Darklight/AK gear mixed together, you should be good to go on starting up your relic questline, or at least waiting until then to do anything past Ifrit.

I have been seeing people talking about a cobalt set, who this be viable for a PLD? Also I have no idea where I would obtain this...or is it crafted?

you can prob buy cobalt set in the markets
personally i'd farm phil tomestones and gear myself with Darklight then
get GC weapon and start your sword and shield relic quest

Finish story quest through cm and prae.

Then grind ifirit hm until you get wep. Run wanderers palace until you get shield from final boss.

After you accomplish both of those you should have enough tomes to upgrade a few accerories. Now run ak and cm until your eyes are bleeding and you hate both of these instances. You will want to upgrade accerories first for a bigger stat boost, the cool looking armor can wait.

You should take some breaks from cm ak tome farming to progress your relic quest.
