USE THE DEV TAG #s They're giving u a chance to directly effect the future of FFXIV

:confused: Seriously people use the freaking tracking numbers; there is some good stuff coming and the more people that reply (good or bad) the faster it will be otw.
The first post in the Forum tells you how to and where to go to see them.

I.e. if you are discussing (or wish to discuss) "Changes to class Names"
They are going to redo the names to the more classic names. (Bluemage, Paldain etc.)
Then use Dev Tag : [dev1033] to throw in your own 2cents.

Using the Tags allows them to keep track of the subject and to keep it more organized while they work on it.
Go to the In Development Forum and click on the actual topic for a lil description for further details regarding the topic.

I have seen much neglect to this dev tag system. Mainly because most of the new topics consist of shit that is already in the game and all people wanna do is CRY ABOUT IT.

Nobody uses dev tags because that isn't what their topics are about...

The worst thing i see is the misuse of the dev tags Ie putting them in the topic title rather then in the tags for this thread box at the bottom. but the good thing is any one can add the tags to a thread not just the op.

I think its because people have seen no point in them.

Theres threads with dev tags that get no response, then threads with no dev tags (special underwear and glowing weapons) that get replies. It seems it doesnt matter as the reps will just sort through it.

And then people come up with the most amazing ideas ever, document, dev tags, etc. lots of likes and SE/Reps turn a blind eye.

I made a thread once and put the dev tag in the appropriate field on the thread creation page and it didn't show up in the topic. Maybe there's something wrong with the system, or they ninja'd the display away from us.

I think using the correct sub-forums is just as important, a lot of people post suggestions in the general forum when they should be in the gameplay forum.

That being said I think the majority of the suggestion that get the dev's attention will be on the Japanese forum, mainly because there isn't the need for translation.
