Every now and then, I'll walk into a room and NPC/Players won't load, it seems like a lag issue. Where the PC/NPCs haven't yet loaded on the screen.....

There is definitely no getting anything back that you may have lost from a quest or something. Lesson learned! Don't do stuff after major updates.
