Hello All

I have an alt who is bard. Compared to my experience with my main (summoner), doing the story is fully enjoyable. First because bard is - for me - by far easier than summoner and secondly because I know and understand what I have to do so I play a lot more relaxed, up to comfortable, allowing for true fun.

Following this positive experience, I created a 2nd alt, a black mage (thaumaturge at start). Problem: The outcome is completely different: Zero fun! First, the job is too hard for me and secondly, since I struggle with the class, redoing the msq turns into a boring hassle.
However, I want to keep her as my low level toon to chill on days I'm tired or rl is too pushy. Just, I want to have her in Ishgard as I like its content/zones more.

Since I'm level 52 (Ishgard start quest needs 50) versus a still big package of ARR quests/trials/dungeons to be done, decision to use a ToA to skip ARR was easy. :D

I'm now in Ishgard and very happy about, but it feels like cheating... :o

Any of you already used a ToA? If yes, how was your experience?

Hello Cuties

I have a little trouble with the retainers of my latest alt (black mage).

2 of them got level 30. Since then, every times I talk to them, I get an additional black text window to inform that I can change job (like for example, bard for archer).

Problem: I can't get rid of the notification! Every single time I talk to them, I get it.

My questions: Why is it coming only for the retainers of my newest alt (don't have that by the retainers of my main and my other alt, although I didn't change their job)? Is it new? How can I turn it off?

Thanks in advance

Hello All

A question related to basic concept of the game. I take 2 examples.

Ex. 1)
I complete a field leve as miner. I change class (for whatever reason) and later I go pick up my field level reward as black mage: Wo earns the XPs? The miner or the black mage?

Ex. 2)
I crafted stuff for daily GC supply. I go pick up rewards as gatherer. Who gets the XPs? The crafters who did the work or the gatherer?

Generally, my question is: If I go pick up a reward equipped as something different than that what I used to do the concerned job, who get the XPs? The currently equipped class or the class that did the job?

Market Board: 2 questions

Hello All

At the market board, there are a few things that keep me wondering and I would like to ask about 4 of them.

1. Items (version LQ) sold at higher price than cost at merchant: Why?

I can understand a higher price for the HQ version of an item (merchants sell only LQ), but why for it's LQ version? There is no interest to pay more than what we would pay at the merchant?
Typical example: The LQ ingots and LQ nuggets from Idyllshire vendors, quite expensive, sold on the market board for even higher prices than that.

2. Items sold on market board at lower price than what we get for it at a merchant: Seriously?

That one is beyond my understanding: I see items sold on market board at lower prices than what would give us a merchant for them. Why?
Typical example: Pieces (tin, bronze, ...), certain materia, ...

3. Items of low levels sold at high prices, out of reach for a player who is at that level and need the item: What's the point?

I see that a lot. Gear or weapon of level 10 up to 30, sold at prices that a new player reaching that level can in most cases certainly not afford. Why?

4. Items sold in package of 99: For storage?

Is it a way to secure additional storage? Or are there really players who will buy in quantity of 99?

Hello All

I'm in a weird situation. My main toon is level 100 with all crafters and gatherers above 90. When I do custom deliveries, it seems that I can earn orange scrips only, but no more purple ones.

Problem: I don't want orange scrips (I have them maxed already but can't use them as I am not far enough in the msq). What I would like is to to keep earning purple scrips for which I still have a use (folklore tomes, master recipes, ....).

My question: There is no possible way to earn purple scrips at my level? Or do I fail to understand something?

Hello All

I come with a totally different question today (no solo duty involved :D ).

To dive under water, playing with keyboard, the standard key combo is CTRL + space bar.

Problem: Even if I'm straight above the location I want to dive to, it happens regularly that the key combo doesn't work properly and I keep jumping over the water surface instead of diving.

Question: Any of you - playing with keyboard - already had that? Is there a known solution maybe?

It's not a road block because it's once in a while only, but that's quite annoying when it happens.

Thanks in advance.
