Long time no seen.

Situation: With an alt, I try to chase Wawkesa for the quest but keep failing (13 tries in a row already). I'm not too far (nameplate normal size), not too close (dangerous range marker doesn't even spawn), I am immobile behind tree/rock at times he is watching around... No matter what, I keep failing always at same location, close to the end of the route.

Problem:I already did that quest with 2 other toons and got it done on 1st try both times. So now, I'm lost and don't understand why it fails.

My question: What can I be doing wrong? Currently in my journal I have a bunch of extreme trial quests that I'd love to clear but I'm worried about constantly screwing up. I've never been the best at group content and I find them pretty intimidating. Whilst I did the original trials without much trouble, they are pretty easy and I know tougher content requires more skill and knowledge.

So I'm looking for some tips on how best to approach doing extreme trials as a newbie. What are some sound advice you can give me to make me a useful team mate and not screw it up for everyone else. I'm currently a Bard at level 70 and only recently returned to the game after a lengthy break. So if anyone can give me some good advice I'd really appreciate it.
