It's almost remarkable how many times when transitioning to a flashback or memory during the story that the game fades to white.

This is EXTREMELY straining on my eyes. Most times I can adapt if it's...once in a few quests, or so.

But during the MSQ "A Calculated Evolution" (Dawntrail 7.3) there are SEVEN of them, rapid fire, and because I'm photosensitive it triggered a rather nasty migraine headache.

Is there any way whatsoever to add an accessibility feature that changes these fades to white to a screen wipe, a fade to black, or grey, or anything that isn't blinding?

BLU is so nicely put to the very end of all the DPS so you know it's a limited job and it doesn't interfere with all of the other L100 main jobs.

Please put BST next to BLU rather than putting it in the middle of everything.
Please please please. This is already driving me crazy.

So if I'm reading it correctly, instead of being able to have up to 8 CWLS per logical DC, with the new same-region matching coming out, we will be reduced to 8 CWLS total per physical DC?

I have at least 5-6 CWLS each in Primal and Crystal alone on my main, with Primal being my home DC and being very active in the hunt community, being in a few different relay CWLS is a necessity. Other CWLS I have are for different friend groups for different purposes- raiding, casual chat, etc.

For regions like NA and JP who have 4 logical DCs with 8 worlds each, it seems a bit ridiculous to limit it to 8 when people have had to establish their CWLSs like this for literal years, especially in a community-driven game. This is similar to the issue of the friend list still being limited to 200 characters (and barely functional to boot).

I'm not saying we still need like 8 per logical DC, as I know the issue of how to organize them would be a thing, but I don't see why they couldn't at least give us 4 or 5 per logical DC with each region. At the VERY least, if they're committed to reducing us to 8 total, then we need an increase in CWLS capacity past 64 per.

I think the function needs a bit of revision.

QoL - Add icons within Teleport menu

Hello!

Hello!

With the introduction of Beastmaster (and the entrance to Crucible of the Unbroken being an NPC in Central Shroud) a slight improvement to the Teleport menu I thought of a while ago came to mind once again.

Adding icons, a short descriptive list while hovering over, or a map of the zone (similar to the Aethernet menu) next to a teleport option to show all unique/important mechanics/NPCs/instances present in that zone would greatly improve quality of life while teleporting.

There are many zones now that have some gameplay mechanic within them that is only accessible by traveling to that zone. Most of these do not exist within the Duty Finder nor some other menu that one can open from anywhere their character currently is. The icons that could be added next to the teleport options could either be new for those mechanics that do not have one, or take from the existing Map icons (e.g. the new BST icon on the Central Shroud map)

I've included a non-exhaustive list of some of the types of gameplay I mean below:

Crucible of the Unbroken in Central Shroud

Masked Carnivale in Ul'dah

Deep Dungeon entrances

Allied Society NPCs

Field Operation entrances (or Relic Weapon NPCs for those that did not have their own zones)

Island Sanctuary in Lower La Noscea

Crafting/Gathering Zones/NPCs (Ishgardian Restoration, Cosmic Exploration, Collectable Appraiser vendors)

Seasonal Event starting points (would change every event)

Unique Instances (The Parrock via the Redbill Standard in Sea of Clouds or The Empty in Amh Araeng)

The inclusion of mechanics that exist in multiple places (Grand Companies, Hunt Boards, endgame vendors, etc) could also be extremely helpful, even if its generally understood that some things are always in the cities.

Showing some form of icon on the actual Teleport menu instead of only on the Map would greatly increase the usability of that menu. It would become an amazing tool both for new players looking to navigate the world and for experienced players who may have forgotten every mechanic the game has to offer (or at least where to find them). This would require a revamp of the entire menu of course (which may already be in the works), but I think it would be well worth the effort.

Would love to hear others' thoughts on this concept.

Thank you!

I just discovered that things in the Armoire can be used for Glamours and even Glamour Plates without being removed (or using a glamour prism!)
This means anything that can go in the Armoire but that you put in the Glamour Dresser, is just wasting space in the Dresser. At the time I discovered that my dresser was filled at 800 items because of course.

SO, what we need, when we look at out glamour dresser we need to be able to see the symbol that shows an item can go in the Armoire, either on the little icons for the items and/or on the description popup when you mouse over. You know, just like the "Outfit Glamour-ready item" items. (I don't even understand what that means, isn't everything in there ready for an outfit glamour?)
That way we don't have to take items out and look at them and put them back in if it can't go in an Armoire. (Which wastes a Glamour Prism!)
Thank you!

I know there's a tutorial panel that explains how the gauge and the combos work...

But why the action tooltips need to be so poorly written? Too much text and roundabouts to explain simple mechanics. The text formatting isn't very intuitive either, as you need to constantly cross-reference with the Trait panel.

Anyway, just a minor peeve that going into a brand new job reminded me of. And it's reflected in other aspects of the UI/UX too. I wish that they could get a good consultation with how to do it better.

I actually wonder if the JP localization is like this too: simple mechanics appearing complicated just by the way they're presented

Hello,
I'd would to ask for a small QoL change from my gaming perspective.
I use my right click mouse function for camera movement. In hectic gameplay moments it sometime happens that I "accidentally" right click someone from my party list, which I don't intend to do.

Could the function be added that we can disable right clicking on players during combat?

Sorry if this is in the wrong category! I couldnt find a better category for general combat.

That said, simple concept (in terms of concept, perhaps not execution);
I'd love to see the Camera able to auto-zoom in and out to match the size of the first targeted enemy inside of combat. When combat remains active (due to accidental aggro or etc.) the zoom scale adapts for either A) The enemy with the highest enmity targeting you or B) The enemy who's been in combat longest if A doesn't/can't apply.

It feels a bit like the combat is almost disconnected from enemies, focusing on pure execution and being most optimal to remain zoomed out to see as much of the field as possible. Enemies just become nothing more than a colored ring on the floor for your tiny character to position yourself around.

Having the option for camera auto-adjustment based on the enemy feels like it would put more focus on the enemy itself, a nice middle ground between free movement & the auto-lock on feature.

Additionally it'd be a benefit to console players running default config, and realistically should be default on the normal controller config, as- even considering the lock on- you'd be able to see much more of the battlefield when it's necessary in fights with larger enemies (ie. Trials), and would openly present that the feature to zoom in and out exists if you search for it. It seems like a good way to convey that feature, AND its importance, to base config Controller players.

It'd also be a nice indication of whether Combat state is active, for the few abilities (currently) remaining that only function inside/outside of combat or function differently inside combat.
