Chat message for Friends List / Linkshell Members entering.

Any chance of a message in Linkshell Chat or some other message chat message type that friends / linkshell members entered the game / linkshell?

Example:

"XXXX has entered the Linkshell"
"XXXX has left the Linkshell"


Or something for Friends List...

Example:

"XXXX has logged onto xxxx world" (or server)
"XXXX has left xxxx world" (or server)


Of course please put a "Chat Filter" option for people that do not want to see this.

Why would you care if somebody enter's or exits the linkshell?

Friend's list I can see, but if you have about 200 friends on your friends list, that would be very annoying....and lagish

Wouldn't annoy me seeing my friends log in. Do all of your friends log in at the same time? Mine do not they log in at very random times, so where would the lag be?

I can honestly say I've been at the 200 limit and lemme tell you, if you've reached that, most of them are offline most of the time anyway. I never have more than a page and a half of online friends on the game - which is about 30-40 people. And yes, my FL is damn near 200. I took off a couple dozen people who were always offline a few months ago, and since then I've gained new friends.

And you know what? I rarely ever check my friends list. Typically if I'm friends with someone (legit friends, not just on my list), I'll remember their in-game name. So if I ever wanted to talk to them, I could send a tell. If they're offline oh well, if not ok. But if I got a notification every time a friend logged on, that would be beast.

I support this idea.

I'm in a CST linkshell (kindof) so yeah, they all log on about the same time.

I just remember way back playing Diablo 2 on battle.net. I think they had something on there that let me know when friends entered battle.net. It was just a thought for this game also.

I would very much like to see a chat log message whenever one of my friends logged on and off.

If someone doesn't want to see this, that could probably easily be fixed by making these messages optional. There could be menu options for displaying friends joining, friends on the same world as you joining, linkshell members joining, any combination of these, or just "none" for those that didn't want it.

I really can't see any reason why some people would want to shoot down this idea, as long as the feature would be optional.

Yes this is idea is an original idea from WoW. I mean it would have to be, right? If WoW has it, then it was Blizzard's idea and is wholly original.

People wonder why others get angry when people mention WoW, and this is one of the many reasons why.

PS: I've always wanted a toggle option to see when people log into the game (not into playonline).
