Any plans for new mounted methods of transportation beyond Chocobos?

It may sound strange, but after months of being warped around to different places, I have to be honest and say that I kind of miss a good chocobo ride every now and again. More specifically, the thing that I really miss is the experience of breezing past the awesome landscapes between zones on chocobo-back. It was always one of the coolest ways to just "take a break from it all" and have a nice ride while being able to take in all the sights along the way.

Of course this is still an option to partake in, since our beloved strong-legged birds are still all around us, ready to sprint us to our destinations. As our Vana'diel years pass by, and our stories continue to take us in directions uncharted, I simply wonder if there will be another means of "mounted transportation" in our Adventuring future that could perhaps elevate even further the experience of traveling from zone to zone efficiently while sight seeing.

• Perhaps a new breed of "chimera" specially made for transportation? Perhaps an altered variation of those cool Monoceros.(For folks that don't know: The "chimera" are beasts produced from an artificial creation process using a forbidden alchemy method)

• Newly domesticated breeds of dragons or wyrms? Something that could carry a party of 6! @.@

• Cool new mechanical-based(or naturally-made) steeds? (Kind've funny only Odin gets to ride a horse *Edit actually, Odin's horse is just really ugly in the face...so...yeah)

• An enhanced, larger bird-like creature, or Evolved Chocobo? Perhaps the next step in a chocobo's evolution? Something that could carry 2 riders maybe.

This would in no way be a request to replace or rid us of our yellow (or any other color) chocobo friends of course. Just wondering if we can hope to see any new mounts in our near future.

I'm not sure if there will be other methods of travel as with most final fantasy games, your travel methods were Chocobo, Airship, boat. Maybe sub and some other things but nothing that you suggested. Maybe flying chocobos?

I would not want new mounts. It would not be appropriate for FFXI. More colors for chocobos and the ability to dye them any color: {Yes, please.} Otherwise, {No thanks.}

No adjustments or additions need to be made in this area.

True, but there's lots of things that can be tailored to fit the transportation trend. Flying chocobo's could be out of the question due to PS2 stuffs I would think

Think of the poor chocobos who have to deal with those fata$$es all the time. I feel sorry for the poor chick who first hatches and looks up to its new master....only to see 2 tons of fun staring right back.

We should really offer cyanide capsules for those poor chicks.
