JP Actually focus on Macc for spells with Additional Effects. They believe BLU's should worry about making their Added Effects on spells proc (head butt stun, Blitzstrahl stun, etc), So they stack no Macc Weaponry/etc and dont care about BLU spell damage, Just the Added Effect procing. to "support" the group.

Its the same reason JP almost refuse to do anything other than COR/WHM when on COR.

So, Its good for Proc'n Added Effects on your spells, but theres nothing more behind it.
JPs really suck at gearing themselves, but damn can they get stuff done efficiently.
