Magic accuracy

In Ro'maeve i see about 6 blu. Is there a lack of magic accuracy that i'm unaware of that blu needs? Every jp i've seen has magic acc sticks x2 but i've only seen 1 without and he did some pretty good numbers. I have 418 skill and +20 m.acc in storaged parts which are non-weapons from the old days just incase we needed it, but i don't ever see resists especially since I own af1+1 body and +2 pants :/

I have no clue, right now the only resist I see either are from immune mobs or highly resistant mobs to certain things, like bat have a higher then normal resist rate vs dark based sleep spell. the jp community even before aby and after magian came out had a high rate of going after the m.acc swords. The only reason i heard of is that it one of the easiest magian swords to get.

Most random people you see on Blu don't know how blue magic works, it's that simple. Or they're making it for headbutt spam or something...

Good to have for headbutt spam but thats abot it. That and M.acc and M.attack swords are the easiest and fastest swords to finish. Str swords force you to do on day of weak or waiting forever for weather, and acc swords are not really needed in abyssa and have high kill counts of really annoying mobs.

Actually, This was a question I actually remember being asked along while back.

JP Actually focus on Macc for spells with Additional Effects. They believe BLU's should worry about making their Added Effects on spells proc (head butt stun, Blitzstrahl stun, etc), So they stack no Macc Weaponry/etc and dont care about BLU spell damage, Just the Added Effect procing. to "support" the group.

Its the same reason JP almost refuse to do anything other than COR/WHM when on COR.

So, Its good for Proc'n Added Effects on your spells, but theres nothing more behind it.

JPs really suck at gearing themselves, but damn can they get stuff done efficiently.

I don't even see why BLU should bother with Magic Accuracy, sure it CAN help, but why not just stack up more on Blue Magic Skill? After all, Blue Magic Skill is what is going to more decrease the rate of Blue Magical Resistance then Magic Accuracy will. Better to just beat it out on point and go Magic Attack and Crit, and let the silly JP's chew on their magic accuracy @_@

Karbuncle that's what i'm told and someone mentioned that they're asking for MORE m.acc in the jp forums. Know what i don't see them doing? Using magic evade/def down on mobs :/ we have enough enfeebles as blu and other jobs to pull that off easily. While i understand that they may be turning blu into an alternate red mage what i don't understand is how overkill accuracy isn't enough. IIRC even magic/physical isn't always going to be 100% accuracy such as melee and defensive skill especially since SE openly admitted to nerfing such skills as headbutt on subs (although that same patch introduced 'whiffs' to blu/ as well).

Maybe this is why we got the most useless JSE earring or m.acc on af3 body :/ someone forgot to tell them af1+1 gives 15 m.acc already.

Well look at the Emp AF. Focuses on macc and mab also, so it's not just the JP it is the developers too. Maybe it is NA that is playing the job wrong

I was actually under the impression with AF3 SE was trying to give us armor that would best suit how we play the jobs.

JP play BLU heavily for support, Macc stacked, etc. Thus BLU Emprean got some pieces with Magic Acc on them to better utilize it. It also haste haste and some pretty potent DD Stats on a few pieces.

when it comes to the JP and NA Playstyles, they're both right in their own respects. I know its SUPERDEKUAWESOMEKAWAII!!!<3<3<3<3JPAREAWESOMENAARELAME up in here, but both playstyles hold merit.

One Style of play focuses on defeating your foe through powerful spells and merciless onslaught, while another playstyle focuses on sacrificing of damage in lieu of making sure your supportive spells additional effects proc, helping your group as a whole.

Neither playstyle is right or wrong, its just how the jobs differed through the cultures.
